Hi, I'm Ji.
I am a multilinguist in people, technology, and design.
I study Human-Centered Technology Design & Development at Penn State, and minor in Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship (HESE). I am passionate about bringing
people together through technological innovation
and social impact.

I graduate in May 2024 and am looking for a full-time opportunity in the realm of UX Research & Design or Consulting.

Well, I am also multilingual in both spoken languages
and programming languages.
Growing up in Malaysia, I had a multicultural upbringing and spoke three languages: Mandarin, English, and Malay. I have experienced various education systems, giving me the fortune to meet people from different walks of life. I learned to build trust and relationships with diverse communities everywhere I go.

Going to college at Penn State, I picked up programming languages for the first time. I have been coding in three languages: Java, Python, and JavaScript. I enjoyed solving technical problems and decided to switch from Economics to Human-Centered Technology Design and Development at the College of IST. As much as I enjoyed gaining technical skills, I learned the importance of understanding humanities and incorporating that into designing and building technology that emphasizes user experience.

While my diverse upbringing taught me to be curious and empathetic toward people, I am also well-rounded in project management and problem-solving at the intersection of business and technology. My passion for people, technology, and design has inspired me to pursue a multidisciplinary career and a life of innovation for good.

Work Hard, Play Hard.
At my leisure, I like to do many things to have fun and maintain my wellness. When I feel extraverted, I love to spend quality time with my friends exploring new places and FOOD. City or nature, I am down for an adventure. I also love museums and art galleries, stemming from my love for history and art. My favorite museums right now are the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Guggenheims, the one in NYC and Bilbao, Spain.
I love to stay active. In college, I learn and master a new sport every semester, including curling, swimming, dodgeball, running, strength training, snowboarding, etc. Currently, I have been playing racquetball and golf. Let me know if you want to play!
When alone, I love to listen to chill jazz and read. I recently finished All About Love by Bell Hooks and am reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. We can chat about music and books too!
